I couldn't resist posting this photo of the CarShoe store in Milan on the Via Della Spiga. With Prada at the helm, the brand has really taken off, and the new digs down the "via" have doubled the space they previously had to show their comfortable, colorful, and casual designs.
And, speaking of store design, have you seen the remodeled Pumpz store? We have a few touches left to finish our Billy Beson "facelift," but are ready to show you our progress. We have about 25% more display area to bring additional designs to our customer. Check out the new zebra rug and seating!
At the same time, we're tweaking our website to be more user-friendly and easy to navigate. Add www.pumpzco.com to your "favorites" to check often for new merchandise and internet specials.
As for new trends for summer, shoes and handbags are lighter, with cleaner lines. Less hardware makes for improved comfort, and color pops to brighten your wardrobe.
If you aren't sure what your closet is missing, ask us about the "must haves" for the season. We can help you complete the outfits that warmer weather is starting to invite out of the house!
Oh, and stop in to see the latest CarShoes. We don't have wheels in the windows, but we have the goods!

The original Alexis Hudson stopped by to visit her eponymous handbags at Pumpz & Company. A newcomer to Minneapolis, Alexis is the inspiration behind her mother's line of fabulous handbags now available at Pumpz & Company.
Mom, Rochelle travels Europe to find trends and fabrications to inspire these designs in the most current shapes, materials and sizes. She and her partner are the team behind Alexis Hudson, and we can see how the real Alexis is the perfect muse!

We just returned from market in Milan and Paris, following fashion week in each fabulous city. Thrilled to see that fall '08 will continue to feature riding boots, short boots, ankle booties, mid-calf boots and shoe booties - plus, the occasional pump, oxford and wedge.
This season, add a new category to your shoe wardrobe: the "hostess shoe". Could be a ballerina, maybe a sandal, but always a comfortable shoe for entertaining at home. Leave the weather outside!
Get an edge on the newly christened "it" bag by Carlos Falchi, by pre-ordering one in a multitude of python or ostrich colors.
Forbes magazine named the orange python clutch to its list of "it" bags that includes famous designers like Vuitton and Fendi. See it displayed in Pumpz this week.
Now is when we have the best selection of spring/summer
shoes and handbags - just arrived, and still arriving, so shop early!

We'll celebrate our eighth birthday with a personal apprearance and trunkshow with Carlos Falchi on Friday, March 7. Don't forget to bring your vintage Falchi bag for Carlos to sign and check out his new designs. Custom order your own signature Falchi handbag in python, ostrich, leather or croc. Meeting Carlos is a very special experience!
We're off to fashion week in New York and will keep you posted on trends for fall '08. In the meantime, grab some amazing bargains before the weekend of February 16, when we'll be changing out the store for our makeover!

We're adding new ways for you to shop with us, including sorting options to make your search much faster to reach and navigate our website. We're adding new receipts of resort and resort and spring '08 shoes and handbags to give you a headstart on color and style. Grab something fresh for your warm weather vacation. Or just fill in with some of our year round styles as we unwrap that size you've been waiting for! Have you seen the Tory Burch flipflops???
Pumpz will undergo a face-lift in February - new furniture, floor coverings - to be able to display more of what you love in ultra comfortable surroundings. Watch for the notice of our remodeling, and we'll take a few days off to freshen up. But the website will continue to be open during construction!

New York was buzzing from the shoe market and holiday lights last week! Even a little bit of snow couldn't put a damper on the energy. Stay tuned for a couple of new lines to join Pumpz collections.
Designers are still strong on patent, metallics and animal prints, and heel heights range from very flat to platform heels. Menswear influence is strong, with a chunky heel and a roomy toe box, but never underestimate the staying power of the pointed stiletto.
Women's apparel designer Thakoon will be designing the next collection of Hogan handbags! He's got a great style, and we'll begin to see his influence in the fall/winter collection. We'll still have the fabulous Interactive styles and Coquette lasts that make their shoes the most comfortable on earth!
Pumpz is receiving resort/holiday shipments almost every day, and new inventory will be added to the website as it arrives. Don't forget to shop our sale for great bargains on "buy now, wear now" item.
Check out our credit in Marie Claire magazine from Be&D. We LOVE their look and range! While we were in the showroom, a photo of Eva Longoria came through the fax looking amazing in one of their latest handbag creations.

Just returned from Paris, the only place in the world to see the spring/summer collections of Miu Miu bags and shoes – hot off the runway! We won't be able to share pics on our website, but can tell the showroom was buzzing, and we loved seeing the return of COLOR!
Meanwhile, back at Pumpz & Company, we recently hosted Be Inthavong, co-designer of Be&D handbags. He brought one of a kind bags with signature hardware and exotic skins. A DJ and treats from Crave added to the rock 'n roll style of Be&D. Very fun.
Ballerinas and flat boots continue to be the stars. Check out the La Canadienne all weather boots that are made in Canada with an environmental conscience. Winter is just around the corner! Tall boots, short booties, chelsea boots combine comfort with practicality and style.
